About
I am deeply optimistic about our ability to mitigate, adapt, and thrive in the Anthropocene Era. My focus is on creating equitable pathways to reduce the harms of climate change — whether health, financial, or opportunity-related. I encourage people to harness Radical Imagination: the ability to envision a future where all people have an opportunity to be part of healthy families and resilient communities.
At ARP Solar, we strive to bring power to the people. As we transition our grid to one based on renewable, circular technologies, there is an opportunity to move away from legacy power structures that do not serve the majority of us. ARP has developed nearly 20 MW of solar with a focus on ensuring communities are prepared for the challenges of a resource-limited future.
At Green Columbus, we harness that same sun — this time to grow the myriad benefits of trees. Our volunteer-centered model creates a seat for all of us at the table of environmental change. We coordinate the largest Earth Month volunteer campaign in Central Ohio, ensuring everyone can find a place and a path to a reciprocal relationship with nature. The 300,000 trees we have planted in Columbus since our founding in 2007 provide improved health outcomes, reduced utility bills, and beautiful spaces for all to thrive in.
I am grateful to work with solar and trees and the incredible teams in both spaces. Both ARP Solar and Green Columbus are filled with some of the most passionate, intelligent, and kindest humans. I appreciate the opportunity to collaborate toward a new balance with the natural world. Climate change is one of the most daunting challenges humanity will face. With community, care, and a little bit of sun, we can reimagine a future grounded in equity, resilience, and grace.
