About
I am deeply optimistic about our ability to mitigate, adapt, and thrive in the Anthropocene Era. My focus is on creating equitable pathways that reduce the harms of climate change, whether those harms are to our health, our finances, or our opportunities. I encourage people to harness Radical Imagination, the ability to envision a future where all people have an opportunity to be part of healthy families and resilient communities.
At ARP Solar, we strive to bring power to the people. As we transition our grid to one built on renewable and circular technologies, we have a chance to move away from legacy power structures that do not serve the majority of us. ARP has developed nearly 20 MW of solar, and we do that work with an eye toward communities that will need to be ready for a future with fewer resources to go around.
At Green Columbus, we harness that same sun to grow the many benefits of trees. Our model is built around volunteers, and it creates a seat for all of us at the table of environmental change. We coordinate the largest Earth Month volunteer campaign in Central Ohio so that everyone can find a place and a path toward a reciprocal relationship with nature. Since our founding in 2007 we have planted 300,000 trees in Columbus. Those trees improve health outcomes, lower utility bills, and create beautiful spaces where all of us can thrive.
I am grateful to work with solar and trees, and with the incredible teams in both spaces. ARP Solar and Green Columbus are filled with some of the most passionate, intelligent, and kindest people I have known. Climate change is one of the most daunting challenges humanity will face. With community, care, and a little bit of sun, I believe we can build a future grounded in equity, resilience, and grace.
